Dr. Ihsan Ayyub Qazi is a Full Professor of Computer Science at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan, where his research explores the intersection of networked systems, generative AI, and societal impact. His work addresses critical challenges in digital development, digital health, misinformation, and cloud/edge computing using frameworks from machine learning, causal inference, and computational social science. Dr. Qazi's research has achieved significant recognition across multiple disciplines. He has published in premier venues spanning computer science (ACM SIGCOMM, ACM IMC, CHI, WWW, ACL, ECML PKDD, EMNLP, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking), economics (Journal of Development Economics), and interdisciplinary journals (Nature Health, Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review).

His work has been supported by leading organizations including Google, Meta/Facebook, The World Bank Group, HEC, Ignite, and Safe Online. His contributions have earned numerous prestigious awards, including the Google Faculty Research Award, three Facebook Integrity Foundational Research Awards, Google exploreCSR Award, ACM SIGCOMM CCR Best Paper Award, Sheth International Young Alumni Achievement Award (University of Pittsburgh), LUMS Vice Chancellor's Alumni Achievement Award, and LUMS Teaching Excellence Award. He is a sought-after speaker, having delivered invited talks at leading institutions including MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, CMU, Harvard, Google, Meta, Netflix, and Microsoft Research. Dr. Qazi obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 and served as a Visiting Research Scientist at UC Berkeley in 2017. He has also held research positions at the Center for Advanced Internet Architectures, Australia and BBN Technologies, USA. He is a Principal Investigator at the National Center in Big Data and Cloud Computing and currently serves at the Faculty Director of LUMSx.
